SOFI is a modern update of the classic South Indian filter. It is one of the most versatile brewers on the market — from brewing an espresso-like concentrate to paper-filtered pour-over style brews, it can do it all. Inspired by the South Indian Filter, SOFI takes things to a whole new level with a sleek, modern design, airflow vents to prevent stalling, exceptional build quality, precision filter holes, and a lot more.
Every SOFI is made with 0.8mm gauge food-grade Stainless steel 304 and has a 72.5mm filter with 129 evenly spaced, 0.8mm machine-punched holes. It can work with doses of 15 to 25g of coffee. The result is a concentrate that can be diluted to filter coffee strength, or mixed with (alternative) milk as an alternative to espresso.
The standardisation of size and shape has made it possible for people to share recipes and use industry-standard paper filters like the Kalita 185, AeroPress XL, and Sibarist DISC 72.
The Sofi consists of 3 parts, a filter, lid and reservoir. Use the included rubber band so you don't burn yourself. Also included is a WDT tool. You have to assemble this yourself.
We also include the optional SoFi holder with every unit, so you can brew over your favorite carafe.
