These 58mm flat burrs for the Pietro hand grinder are made of M340 steel with a Dark-T® protective layer. This guarantees a longer life, less friction and less heat development during grinding.
The M-modal burrs are designed by Lance Hedrick, and are a great choice if you're looking for clarity and great flavor separation in the cup. They have a uni-modal particle size distribution that minimizes fines, and are a therefore great for different brewing methods but will need an extremely fine grind setting to work for espresso.
Only 2 tools are needed to replace the burrs. A 2.5mm Allen key and an 8mm ring/open wrench.
